Owner Emily has created a very laid back cafe where you can sit for hours checking out the eclectic crowd.
“I wish I’d done it sooner,” said owner Emily, after she became a 100% reusable coffee house. “My customers have been so onboard!
From 1st September 2022, the popular coffee house stopped providing non-reusable coffee cups for take away. “I was spending thousands of dollars a year purchasing a product that went straight in the rubbish bin,” Emily added. “I can no longer be part of enabling this behaviour.”
Like other participating businesses Liberty offers these options for coffee-lovers:
- Dine in
- Bring your own cup.
- Loan a mug from the library.
- Free glass jar with lid.
- Purchase a new reusable from the extensive range.
“Watching people adapt during COVID gave me the confidence to do this,” said Emily. “Seeing people get into the habit of wearing a mask, I knew my customers would be able to remember their keep cup.”
