Shared by cafes in our busy tourist town – and coffee vans at events – a vibrant circular economy was born.

- Become a trend-setter. Strut around town with a quirky mug in your hand. This look is so 21st century.
- Each cup is unique. Their individual charm often sparks joy, inspires laughter, or evokes heartfelt memories.
- Pre-loved mugs are cool. Literally. Every time you use a library mug (instead of a ‘compostable’ paper cup) you save 113g of CO2 emissions.
- Be a tree hugger. Take a little pressure off the timber industry. Get a mug-to-go.
- Increase your credit. Locally-gifted mugs aren’t guilty of any air or shipping miles.
- Start a detox. Ordering your latte in a mug-to-go lessens the load on our local waste management system.
- Mugs are clean already. Second hand mug’s don’t need to be ‘green washed’.
- Library mugs already exist. Unlike compostable, biodegradable – or even edible – paper cups, our mugs don’t need industrial manufacturing facilities.
- Upcycle mugs are carbon neutral. Today’s takeaway “I love Grandad” mug didn’t drain new fossil fuel reserves. Like Grandpa it’s been around for years.
- Be a coffee snob. Your much-loved morning takeaway is going to taste better in a ceramic cup.
